Agent hints £33m Tottenham target wants more game time

A number of Premier League clubs are tracking Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara, according to his agent.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder made 28 appearances for Napoli last season after arriving in the summer of 2016 for £13million from Bologna.
Diawara has continued to impress sporadically in Serie A this season and scored against Man City in the Champions League.
Last month Calcio Napoli 24, claimeed Tottenham Hotspur were preparing to offer €38million for the Guinea-born player.
Spurs, as proved in recent seasons, rarely do transfers in January and they never made a move for Diawara, but they may well revisit their interest in the summer.
His agent also hinted Diawara’s playing time is not what he would like under Maurizio Sarri, after just three Serie A starts this season and claims English clubs are watching him.
“It’s not easy to find the right tempo in a match situation if you only play every couple of months, especially considering his role in midfield,” agent Daniele Piraino told Tuttomercatoweb.
“As soon as he gets to play more consistently, we’ll see the same world class player as last season.
“There are some Premier League clubs interested, but it’s premature to talk about this.”
