Five players went down with a sickness bug with midfielders Darren Ambrose and Neil Danns the worst affected.

Ambrose could only manage to play the first half as Palace went down 2-0 at Bramall Lane, and he and Danns did not train in the earlier part of this week and will be checked over.

Defender Paddy McCarthy remains the only long-term injury absentee, the Irish defender not due back until March following shoulder surgery last month.

Boss Neil Warnock must decide who out of Freddie Sears, Alan Lee and Calvin Andrew will partner teenage frontman Victor Moses, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League in January.
