Elliott Wade-s in to deny Cottagers

Fulham striker Zamora – at the centre of an alleged row with his own club’s fans – looked to have hit his second consecutive winner with a cool 50th-minute finish.

But Elliott had other ideas and his superb volley after Stephen Jordan’s deep cross was deflected into his path on 60 minutes ensured Owen Coyle’s men maintained their fine home form.

For Coyle the importance of the point will not be under-stated after two big away defeats, while Fulham boss Roy Hodgson will wonder how his side were not out of sight by half-time with winger Damien Duff and striker Erik Nevland missing good early chances for the Cottagers.
