The agent of Emerson Palmieri has revealed that Juventus were interested in the left-back before he joined Chelsea, but has not heard anything from them since.
Emerson has been linked with a return to Serie A, where he previously played for Palermo and Roma, and reportedly has the chance to reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.
The left-back has so far claimed to be happy working under Frank Lampard, denying reports to the contrary, although he did open the door to a return to Italy, the country he represents at international level, in a recent interview.
However, his agent Fernando Garcia has now played down talk of a move to Juventus, claiming that the Serie A champions were only interested in him back when he was playing in the division before.
“Emerson is very happy at Chelsea, he gets along well with his teammates and coach,” Garcia told TuttoJuve.com.
“As of today, I have not had any contact with other clubs. It’s true that Juventus were interested when he was still playing for Roma, but that was the season before he moved to Chelsea.
“As I said, he’s very happy at Chelsea and already in one of the biggest leagues in the world. Only God can say whether Emerson will return to play in Italy or not.”
The Brazilian born player is under contract with the Blues until 2022, having originally joined them in January 2018.
