Arsenal boss Unai Emery has issued a response to claims that the club could sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Manchester United.

Rumours have been rife that United will target a move for the former Borussia Dortmund frontman this summer as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

Reports on Tuesday afternoon suggested United were a step closer to offloading the Belgian after an improved offer from Inter Milan.

Aubameyang, who has two years left on his contract, scored 22 Premier League goals last season, earning him a joint Golden Boot win and is rated in the £70million bracket.

There were even claims that Emery had sanctioned a swap deal involving Lukaku and Aubameyang, however he has now revealed that offloading the Gabon international is not in his plans.

“(Selling Aubameyang is) Not really in our mind. Not really,” the Spaniard is quoted by the Metro.

“We are very happy with Aubameyang and we don’t want to sell him.”
