Emery delighted with confident approach as Arsenal lay down a marker

Unai Emery was eager to highlight the importance of Arsenal’s comprehensive victory over Fulham.

The Gunners moved into the top four after a 5-1 win, their ninth victory in a row in all competitions. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both scored twice, while Aaron Ramsey netted with a brilliant backheel.

Emery, speaking to Match of the Day, said: “Our performance over the 90 minutes was very important; to be together and with our performance we found each moment and each player.

“It was an important goal for Aaron [Ramsey] and an important goal for us. The best performer for us is every player.

Emery was also delighted that Arsenal are now in the Champions League spots, and is confident that their positive momentum can continue throughout the season.

“I believe in us, we believe in our process but also we must keep taking confidence. I think we are in the first competition in the war. It is very difficult but we must prepare, continue improving and show big commitment.”
