TOP CLUBS ON ALERT AS BARCA GET READY TO DITCH 10 STARS

Barcelona are reportedly open to selling 10 of their first-team squad players this summer in an attempt to overhaul their squad.

A report in Diario AS claims that Samuel Umtiti, Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic are the three most high-profile players who have been identified by the club as being viable sale options.

The trio are on disproportionately high wages, with none seen as regular first-team starters for next season or beyond.

Umtiti is behind Clement Lenglet and Gerard Pique in the pecking order at centre-back, while Coutinho is second fiddle to Ousmane Dembele, when fit, and Frenkie de Jong looks set to displace Croatian star Rakitic.

The Catalan outfit are also keen on recouping their €41m fee on winger Malcom, who has started just four LaLiga games this summer, with squad players Jasper Cillessen, Thomas Vermaelen and Rafinha Alcantara are all available for transfer too due to lack of first-team action.

In addition, current loanees Kevin-Prince Boateng and Jeison Murillo will head back to parent clubs Sassuolo and Valencia respectively, while January arrival Jean-Clair Todibo could also be moved on with a buy-back option for Toulouse.
