Euro Paper Talk: Barca hold out Pogba hope after development; John Terry’s shock move
Barcelona spoke directly to Paul Pogba last month, while Man Utd target Alex Sandro has not yet held contract talks with Juventus, all in the European papers.
BARCA SPOKE TO POGBA
Barcelona were in direct contact with Paul Pogba this summer, according to a report in Spain.
The Catalan paper Mundo Deportivo have reported today that Barca recently spoke directly to the Manchester United man.
Since the conclusion of the World Cup, where Pogba helped France to glory, Barca have been chasing the midfielder.
Their efforts ultimately ended in failure, but they are still hoping to revive a deal in January – just as they did last summer when they eventually signed Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.
It’s understood Pogba only wants to move to Barca or his former club Juventus after becoming increasingly distant with Jose Mourinho at United.
Just what Ed Woodward and United will make of the latest reports coming from Spain remains to be seen, but the news will hardly help endear Pogba to United and their fans.
