Euro Paper Talk: Griezmann tipped for surprise future move to Euro giants

Bayern Munich want to sign Antoine Griezmann in 2019, while Sevilla are weighing up a move for a former Tottenham winger, according to Wednesday’s European papers.

BAYERN WANT GRIEZMANN IN 2019

Bayern Munich are trying to reach an agreement to sign Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann next summer, it is claimed.

According to Bild, the Bundesliga champions are eyeing Griezmann as a potential replacement if Robert Lewandowski leaves.

Griezmann was the subject of intense speculation this summer, as he was tipped to join Barcelona. However, he revealed he would be staying at Atletico in a TV special called ‘The Decision.’

Bayern, however, are hopeful of prising the World Cup winner away from the Europa League champions in 2019.

Griezmann has a €200m release clause in his contract.

RABIOT TURNS DOWN NEW PSG DEAL

Liverpool and Arsenal target Adrien Rabiot has rejected PSG’s latest contract offer, according to Paris United.

The holding midfielder’s contract is up at the end of the season and plenty of Euro heavyweights are interested in signing him, including AC Milan, Juventus and Barcelona.

PSG, per the source, offered him €7.2million a year, but Barcelona are reportedly willing to offer him €10million per year.

It was recently claimed that new PSG boss Thomas Tuchel wants to build a team around the disciplined Rabiot and they are believed to have already resisted bids from Barcelona and Inter for the player.

It’s claimed that Rabiot is also emerging as a target for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and it’s suggested the Reds could sign the player on a pre-contract agreement in January, if he turns down a move to the Camp Nou.

According to the Mirror, Spurs were battling Arsenal for Rabiot over the summer, while at the start of July Paris United claimed both Manchester clubs had held talks over a possible summer deal.

REAL READY TO POUNCE ON MBAPPE

Kylian Mbappe TEAMtalk

Spanish TV programme Chiringuito claim Real Madrid are ready to pounce on the signing of Kylian Mbappe this month.

Mbappe’s one-year loan to PSG will expire on August 27. PSG haeve an option to buy at €180million, but it’s being reported that the Ligue 1 club might struggle to complete the deal due to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

And per the source that means that Real are waiting in the wings to sign the 19-year-old, who is reported to have chosen PSG ahead of Real Madrid last summer after moving from Monaco.

“I chose PSG because I will play more, it was the main criteria,” said Mbappe.

According to TransferMarketWeb, Los Blancos tabled an offer for Mbappe earlier this summer, though it was rejected out of hand by PSG who considered the France star too important to sell.

Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez though apparently sees Mbappe as the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo at Real after the 33-year-old made the €110million move to Juventus.
