A top Benfica star has admitted his desire to join Liverpool or Man Utd, while Alexis Sanchez has dropped a huge hint over his long-term future, according to Tuesday’s European press.
BENFICA STAR ADMITS LIVERPOOL, MAN UTD INTEREST
Almeida has spent the last eight years at the Portuguese giants, making a total of 204 appearances in all competitions.
However, the 28-year-old has hinted at an exit at some point in future, admitting he is an admirer of the two Premier League rivals.
Almeida told Mega Hits: “I always had the dream of going to the Premier League. I really like Liverpool and Manchester United for their history.
“I also like Real Madrid and Barcelona, but I prefer the Premier League. I would not have the ability to play all the starting games.”
Almeida still has just under four years left on his current contract so it would take a large fee for Benfica to consider parting with one of their top stars.
