Euro Paper Talk: Chelsea in talks for €40m former Man Utd target; Real want £71m Liverpool star ahead of Kane

Chelsea have opened talks over a €40m deal for a Brazilian midfielder, while Real Madrid will end their interest in Harry Kane to pursue a Liverpool star, according to Wednesday’s European papers.

CHELSEA HOLD TALKS WITH FELIPE ANDERSON’S AGENT

Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson – a former target of Manchester United – could be heading to the Premier League after all this summer.

The Brazilian came under the radar of United during Louis van Gaal’s spell in charge, but opted at the time to stay in Serie A with the capital club.

However, Italian newspaper Il Messaggero reports that the Brazilian’s agents have opened talks with a number of interested parties over a summer deal, with Chelsea thought to be leading Inter Milan and Napoli for his signature.

Anderson is believed to be rated at €40million and his arrival would place the future of Tiemoue Bakayoko under threat with the France midfielder proving a disappointment since his move to Stamford Bridge from Monaco last summer.

The player has two years left on his existing Lazio contract, but the Serie A side could look to offload him this summer before his value begins to decrease.

MADRID GET REAL OVER SALAH

Real Madrid are reportedly focusing their attention on a summer transfer for Mohamed Salah.

Diario Gol reports that Real are looking to offload Gareth Bale and they are increasingly warming to the idea of signing Liverpool forward Salah, rather than Eden Hazard or Harry Kane.

The report claims Real value Salah at €80million (£71million), a somewhat cheaper option than Kane, who has been value at £200million. They acknowledge that Liverpool will inflate the price if Real pursue the Egyptian striker, but they still think Salah represents a better option and will go higher than their valuation.

Cristiano Ronaldo has also reportedly sanctioned the transfer and Real will push ahead with trying to get Salah at the end of the season.

Salah, 25, only arrived at Anfield last summer, but he has blasted 32 goals after a phenomenal start back in the Premier League.
