Euro Paper Talk: Chelsea star to snub PSG for new £290k-a-week deal

A top Chelsea star is set to snub a move to PSG ahead of signing a bumper new contract, while a major Man Utd target is ready to pen a new deal at Lazio, according to Friday’s European papers.

KANTE TO SNUB PSG FOR BUMPER NEW CHELSEA CONTRACT

N’Golo Kante has reportedly decided to snub interest from French giants PSG and is ready to sign a lucrative new Chelsea contract instead.

The France star was strongly linked with a return to his homeland over the summer, but only recently revealed that he is more than happy with life in west London.

He told Telefoot, after claiming World Cup glory: “There had been discussions with PSG, but the reality is that I am good at Chelsea. When Chelsea told me they were counting on me and wanted to keep me for the future, I did not see myself going against the club. I live good times in Chelsea and I’m starting a new season.”

The Blues are now said to be ready to hand the 27-year-old a new deal worth a whopping £290,000-a-week to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

Kante has flourished in a more advanced midfield role under new boss Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge and has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or for an outstanding 2018.
