Everton make a bid for Yerry Mina, Cristiano Ronaldo agrees Juventus move and Ever Banega has no intention of leaving Sevilla, according to Wednesday’s European papers.
EVERTON MOVE FOR MINA
Everton have offered €24million to Barcelona for centre-back Yerry Mina, report Goal.
Apparently discussions between the clubs have already started and Everton have tabled an offer for the former Palmeiras defender, who starred for Colombia at the World Cup.
Liverpool have also been linked with the 23-year-old centre-back, who is also believed to be interesting Fenerbahce.
Apparently Barca wanted Mina to leave on a loan deal worth €2m, but they are open to selling the defender if they can retain a buy-back option in his contract.
Mina, who scored three goals at the World Cup, spoke after Colombia’s 4-3 penalty defeat to England
“I don’t need to prove anything to anyone,” said Mina.
“In my head right now, I am thinking about returning to Barca. Now’s not the moment to talk about my future, but the World Cup has helped me rediscover myself and reaffirm myself as a footballer.”
ARSENAL SEE INITIAL N’ZONZI BID REJECTED
Arsenal have seen their opening €15m offer rejected by Sevilla for Steven N’Zonzi, according to reports in Spain.
The former Stoke and Blackburn star has emerged as a major target for new Gunners boss Unai Emery, who is keen to add more bite and energy to his central midfield; a deal for Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira also appears close.
But their chances of pairing the Uruguayan up with N’Zonzi will depend on Arsenal raising their initial bid by a further €10million.
According to Spanish paper El Confidencial, that’s the price the LaLiga giants are looking for. The France star has a €40million exit clause in his contract, which expires in 2020.
But with Sevilla willing to sell this summer – the LaLiga side are looking to replace him by re-signing Grzegorz Krychowiak from PSG – it now is up to Arsenal whether they’ll meet the €25million required to prise the all-action midfielder to north London.
