Euro Paper Talk: Juve plot £45m Real raid; Arsenal man set for Hoffenheim
Juventus are ready to raid Real Madrid for another player, while an Arsenal man is poised for a shock move to the Bundesliga, according to Tuesday’s European press.
JUVENTUS READY TO RAID REAL MADRID AGAIN
Juventus are reportedly planning another raid on Real Madrid with a move for full-back Marcelo.
Tuttosport claims that the Brazilian defender is already missing his good friend Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved to the Serie A champions last month.
However, the report goes on to add that any deal before Friday’s European transfer deadline is unlikely, and that Juve will instead look to bring in Marcelo next summer.
The 30-year-old left-back has another four years to run on his Bernabeu contract, allowing the La Liga giants to dictate a high price for the player.
ARSENAL STARLET CLOSES IN ON BUNDESLIGA SWITCH
Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson is reportedly set to make a shock departure from North London to join Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, according to Chris Weatley of Goal.
The 18-year-old is out of contract next summer, and has decided against signing a contract extension, insisting on playing regular first-team football instead.
As a result, it appears Arsenal are ready to cash in on the promising player, rather than lose him for a nominal fee 12 months from now.
Germany has become a hotbed for young English players in recent times, and the Bundesliga clubs are continuing to look at the academies of Premier League sides for possible targets.
Nelson made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners last season, but his path to the first-team folk looks blocked at the moment, which has led to desperation from the player to find game time elsewhere.
