The future of one Liverpool squad man seems more likely to be outside the Premier League, while Tottenham are eyeing a double La Liga raid to bolster Jose Mourinho’s ranks – all in the latest Euro transfer gossip.
LIST OF ADMIRERS FOR ORIGI GROWS
The future of Divock Origi could lie away from the Premier League as the Liverpool striker looks likely to leave this summer.
Origi is a cult hero at Anfield thanks to his role in their Champions League success of 2019. However, he has been unable to hold down a regular role in the team since then.
This season, he has only made two starts in the Premier League. His only goal this season came in the EFL Cup.
Despite still being under contract until 2024, the chances of Origi staying at Liverpool for next season seem slim. A recent report suggested they could sell him for a cut-price fee in the summer.
That led to rumours of interest from other Premier League sides, such as Newcastle, Wolves and Aston Villa. However, it now seems likely that Origi could move to a different league.
According to Calciomercato, Borussia Dortmund and Fiorentina are two of the contenders to sign Origi from Liverpool this summer.
What’s more, Todofichajes add that Dortmund are willing to pay €9m to land the Belgian striker.
The Bundesliga side have been regularly linked with the 25-year-old in recent weeks. Now, it appears they have been joined in the race by Serie A suitors Fiorentina.
But with Dortmund already setting aside some funds for Origi, they may be ready to press ahead in the race to sign him.
