Euro Paper Talk: Liverpool officials heading to Turkey to seal £30m deal; Arsenal in talks

Liverpool officials are ready to head to Turkey to wrap up a defender deal, while Gareth Bale is staying at Real Madrid and will be the new face of the club, according to Monday’s European press.

 

LIVERPOOL CLOSE IN ON MOVE FOR CROATIA WORLD CUP STAR

Liverpool officials will reportedly fly to Turkey to complete a move for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.

According to Turkish newspaper Milliyet, the Reds are looking to step up their interest in the player, who impressed at the World Cup as Croatia were beaten by France in the final.

Vida has also been attracting interest from Everton and West Ham, while the Reds are alraedy said to have had two bids rejected for the player – the latest of those being for £20million.

Besiktas are reported to want nearer to £30m for the 29-year-old, who could form part of a back three with international team-mate Dejan Lovren and Virgil Van Dijk if Jurgen Klopp decides to try the 3-5-2 formation favoured by other Premier League clubs last season.
