Euro Paper Talk: Liverpool set bar higher for Real over Mo Salah

Manchester United will beef up their attack with a €40m Brazilian forward, while Liverpool have set the bar even higher for Real Madrid in their efforts to prise away Mohamed Salah, according to Sunday’s European papers.

Manchester United are reported to have finalised an arrangement with Benfica to sign Brazilian attacker Anderson Talisca this summer.

The forward has long been on Jose Mourinho’s radar but it’s claimed the United manager has decided to act after watching his toothless side struggle to impose themselves on Chelsea and in the absence of Romelu Lukaku during Saturday’s FA Cup final.

The Brazilian has spent the last two seasons on loan with Besiktas from Benfica and has scored 27 goals in 55 appearances for the Super Lig outfit.

The likes of Liverpool and Wolves have also been credited with an interest but Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claims it is United who have won the race for the powerful attacker’s signature.

The 6ft 3in 24-year-old can play across the forward line and is believed to command a €40m fee.
