Liverpool are set to make a £21m offer for a Benfica star, while Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk is wanted in Serie A and Inter Milan are willing to sell a Man United target, according to Thursday’s European papers.

Liverpool target, Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, is also reportedly wanted by Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan.

Il Tempo, via Calciomercato, suggests that the 22-year-old will be sold by the Giallorossi in the summer to come into line with FIFA Financial Fair-Play guidelines.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the Argentine and reports claim that Liverpool came close to making a bid of £26.5m for the player in January.

It now seems, however, that Liverpool will have to do battle with Juve and Milan if they are to win the race for the defensive midfielder, who is yet to be capped at senior level by his native Argentina.

Inter Milan could be willing to sell Ivan Perisic to Manchester United for 60million euros this summer, according to reports.

Despite Inter previously stating that they did not want to sell one of the prized assets, Gazzetta dello Sport is now claiming that United could succeed if they make the right offer for the 28-year-old.

United chief Jose Mourinho reportedly flew down to Croatia to speak to both Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic during the international break last week but the former is said to be his main transfer target.
