Euro Paper Talk: Real Madrid drop Neymar interest to focus on €200m Salah

Real Madrid believe throwing lots of money at Liverpool will give them every chance of signing a Reds star in news that could leave Man Utd with a free run to sign Neymar, according to Monday’s European papers.

REAL END NEYMAR INTEREST TO CONCENTRATE FULLY ON SALAH SWOOP

Real Madrid are reported to have ended their interest in signing Neymar in order to concentrate fully on a potential swoop for Liverpool star Mo Salah – and will go as high as €200million to land their man.

The sensational claims come from Spanish outlet Don Balon, who believe Florentino Perez has grown frustrated by PSG’s unwillingness to negotiate over Neymar amid claims he believes a swoop for Salah would prove far less complicated.

Salah joined Liverpool for a fee of just £36.9m last summer and the 36 goals he has plundered already have brought him to the attention of Europe’s biggest and best.

While Liverpool have no intention of selling, Real believe a €200million offer (£174.4million) would prove impossible to resist given it would represent a 470% profit for the Reds.

Talk of Real ending their interest in Neymar, however, doesn’t guarantee the Brazilian will stay at PSG, however, as it is now suggested Manchester United will capitalise on the LaLiga giants’ change of heart by making a move for the player themselves.

A move for the former Barcelona man is largely expected to be financed by shirt sponsors Chevrolet, who believe the Brazilian can help the American car manufacturer break into the Asian market.
