Bruno Fernandes TEAMtalk

Man Utd have made contact with a Sporting Lisbon man, while Juventus are chasing Julian Brandt, according to Wednesday’s European papers.

Manchester United have been in contact with the agent of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to a report.

Fernandes, 24, has had a sensational season in Portugal and has registered 27 goals and provided 15 assists which has meant he has grabbed the attention of Europe’s top clubs.

But, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola via Sport Witness United are “well positioned” in the race for his signature and have made “informal contact” for Fernandes.

AC Milan are also believed to be interested in the Portugal international, while Liverpool and Chelsea have also scouted the player.

In February Sporting were trying to convince Fernandes to put pen to paper on a new deal, despite the player only signing a new contract last summer to keep him at the club until 2023.

Fernandes is said to have a €100million release clause in his contract, although Sporting’s financial worries could mean he is sold for a lower fee.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly examining the signing of three possible Premier League stars as he looks to land his next ‘Galactico’.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Real were keeping a close eye on last night’s Champions League action, as Liverpool star Sadio Mane is one of the names being considered.

Recent speculation has claimed that the Reds have apparently told Real it will cost a huge £196million to sign Mane this summer.

That came after Spanish newspaper El Confidencial claimed last week that Zidane had earmarked Mane as the star man he wants this summer.

However, they were also interested in events in north London, as the report claims that Spurs star Christian Eriksen is a potential target.

The outstanding Denmark international’s current deal runs out in 18 months time and he has been locked in talks over a bumper new contract for some time.

Los Blancos are circling though, and it has been suggested that the LaLiga giants are preparing a £100m bid to try and convince Spurs to sell this summer.

Finally, the report talks of a ‘great desire’ to land Paul Pogba – who will be in action for Manchester United against Barcelona at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Rumours have been rife of the Frenchman heading to the Bernabeu at the end of the season ever since Pogba admitted it would be a dream to play for the LaLiga giants one day, while reports have suggested they are lining up a £125m bid.
