Manchester United are chasing a World Cup striker, West Ham have switched targets and Chelsea could sell N’Golo Kante for £100million, according to Saturday’s European papers.
MAN UTD MOVE FOR LOZANO
Manchester United are preparing to make a €40m bid for Mexico striker Hirving Lozano, according to a report.
The PSV wideman has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona but Tuttomercatoweb now claim Jose MOurinho has him in his sights.
Both Publimetro (via The Sun) and TransferMarketWeb claimed that new Gunners boss Unai Emery is ready to step up his interest in the 22-year-old.
Lozano caught the eye with an impressive tournament in Russia, starring in Mexico’s shock win over Germany.
He is under contract until 2023 and has attracted a great deal of interest following 17 goals in the Eredivisie last term.
UNITED TARGET EMERGING BENFICA TALENT
Manchester United are confident of winning a three-way tussle to sign Benfica starlet Gedson Fernandes, according to reports in the Portuguese press.
Accoring to O Jogo, United, Juventus and Roma have all made firm enquiries for the 19-year-old, who has a mammoth release clause of €60million in his contract.
With Fernandes’ deal expiring in 2023, Benfica are in no hurry to sell the player but are open to selling for the right price.
That comes after Roma were reported to have launched an opening bid of €20m to try tempt the Portuguese side into selling.
And O Jogo reckons a move to Old Trafford looks most likely should United push ahead with a mooted €25m offer.
The interest in the player seems slightly bemusing given he is yet to make a senior appearance for Benfica’s first team; the player having featured 31 times for Benfica B last season, scoring five goals and assisting six more.
