Euro Paper Talk: Messi hands Barcelona 5-man transfer target list

Date published: Saturday 17th November 2018 4:20

Lionel Messi has two Premier League stars on a five-man Barcelona wish-list, while Man Utd want to beef up their attack with the capture of a €60m-rated Brazilian, according to the European papers.

MESSI NAMES TWO PREM STARS ON WISHLIST

Lionel Messi has issued Barcelona with a five-man transfer shopping list over the next two windows, according to reports in Spain.

The LaLiga giants’ talisman has a notoriously big say in the club’s transfer dealings and regularly keeps the club informed over which stars he feels would add to the side and ensure their quest for domestic and European glory remains on track.

And now, according to Don Balon, Messi has identified four new players from a shopping list of five he wants the club to sign ahead of the 2018/19 season.

On Messi’s wish-list are Monaco right-back Djibril Sidibe, Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek, Ajax centre-back Matthijs de Ligt – and one of either Mohamed Salah or Eden Hazard – who he wants as a replacement for Liverpool-linked Ousmane Dembele.

Messi, meanwhile, was spotted with Paul Pogba in Dubai on Friday but it seems the two were happy to talk about N’Golo Kante, rather than a move to the Nou Camp for the Man Utd star.

MAN UTD EYE £30M SOLUTION TO STRIKER PROBLEM

Manchester United are observing Gremio striker Everton Soares ahead of a £30m potential move, according to a report.

ESPN FC claim that sources have told them the Red Devils’ South American scouts have been watching the player.

Soares has also been linked with a move to United’s rivals Manchester City, and the player recently broke into the Brazil squad, making his international debut in September.

The 22-year-old is similar to Anthony Martial in the sense that he can play either on the left side or through the middle.

It is believed that the forward is is valued at around £30million by Gremio, having signed a new contract until 2022 back in August.

Everton has racked up a combined 17 goals and assists in 35 appearances in all competitions during the 2018 season, and reportedly has a €60m release clause.
