AC Milan are ready to make a summer move for a Manchester United midfielder, while Roma are looking to hand a United and Chelsea target a deal for life, according to Friday’s European papers.

AC Milan are reportedly willing to offer Ander Herrera the chance to play regular first-team football.

The Rossoneri are interested in the Manchester United midfielder, who has found regular first-team starts tougher to come by under Jose Mourinho this season.

Tuttosport claims that Milan will try to sign the Spaniard in the summer, with Herrera having cost United €36m when he arrived from Athletic Bilbao in 2014.

and have been sendind scouts for some time now.

The reports are apparently very positive, leading the Rossoneri to consider adding competition for the likes of Lucas Biglia and Riccardo Montolivo, though the latter is not expected to last long at the San Siro.

The report also indicates that Jose Mourinho doesn’t want to let go of the combative midfielder, who was the fans’ player of the season in 2016-2017, but has since found himself playing less and being linked to a match-fixing probe.

Roma are looking to fend off interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona in versatile midfielder Alessandro Florenzi by offering him a deal for life.

Sporting director Monchi is said to have made negotiating a new deal for the 26-year-old, who can play in central midfield or at full-back, one of his top priorities before the summer transfer window opens.

The Giallorossi are currently having to make sure that they comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and must do that before they can then offer Florenzi a €3million-a-season contract, which would make him one of Roma’s highest paid players.

The player’s curent deal runs out in the summer of 2019 and that has alerted the likes of United, Chelsea and Barca to the possibility of landing Florenzi relatively cheaply.

However, Corriere dello Sport states that Monchi is well aware of interest in the player and that Flrenzi himself would favour remaining in Rome rather than moving on.
