Manchester United are ready to allow one struggling star to make a temporary exit at Old Trafford, Arsenal are closing on a Brazilian, and have also matched a Tottenham bid for a France U21 star, according to Monday’s European papers.
MAN UTD FLOP FRED LINES UP LOAN DEPARTURE
Fred looks set to end his Manchester United struggles with a temporary stint away from Old Trafford.
The Brazil midfielder, signed in a £50m deal from Shakhtar Donestsk last summer, has struggled to recapture his best form in the Premier League and is seemingly ready to move on in a bid to return to his best.
According to Fotomac, as translated by Sport Witness, the midfielder is being targeted by Galatasaray this summer.
It’s claimed United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is willing to let him move on this summer, despite the club also losing Ander Herrera on a free transfer, with Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic and Andreas Pereira all believed to be ahead of him in the midfield pecking order. The club also has youngster James Garner pushing to make the breakthrough and it is the emergence the latter that has reportedly convinced Solskjaer to let Fred move on.
However, with long-term doubts over the future of Matic in particular, Solskjaer believes a loan move only would be the best option at this stage for Fred, with the 26-year-old still hoping for a route back into the side in the years ahead, and the club not at this stage, prepared to make a major loss on their investment.

ARSENAL SEND MEDICS TO BRAZIL TO PUT TARGET THROUGH MEDICAL
Arsenal have inched a significant step closer to a deal for Gremio attacker Everton Soares, according to reports in the Brazilian’s homeland.
The Gunners have stepped up their interest in the Brazil international over the past month and it’s reported that medics from Arsenal have on Monday boarded a flight to Porto Alegre to assess the condition of the star ahead of a €40m (£36m) switch to north London.
These reports have been backed up by respected Brazilian journalist Sergio Araujo, who claims Arsenal have struck a deal for the player with the Brazilian side, with the deal set to take a significant step closer if Gunners club doctors are satisfied.
“Representatives of Arsenal of England arrive tomorrow to Porto Alegre to seal the hiring of Everton,” Araujo wrote on Twitter.
“The team consists of physicians of the English club, who will make examinations to know the physical conditions of the [Gremio] player.”
And reports suggest the deal could be completed in the next few days with the player already confirming he’s unlikely to feature in the Copa do Brasil quarter-final against Bahia this Wednesday.
“Really. I do not know what can happen. I have a proposal. I cannot talk to the club,” he said.
“I do not guarantee that I will play against Bahia on Wednesday, we will see.”
Unai Emery has had Soares watched numerous times over the past six months and it’s claimed Arsenal have decided to make their move on the back of the player’s impressive Copa America displays for Brazil.
He has featured four times for his country, and is Gremio’s top goalscorer this season with 10 goals from 28 appearances.
