Euro Paper Talk: Raiola key as Man Utd seal €42m deal for WC sensation

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign one of the World Cup’s breakout stars, while Cristiano Ronaldo wants a Barcelona star to join him at Juventus, according to Monday’s European papers.

HIRVING LOZANO DEAL CLOSE FOR MAN UTD

Manchester United have agreed a deal to bring in Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven this summer, according to multiple reports.

United are reported to have struck a €42million (£37m) fee with the Dutch outfit to bring the player to Old Trafford as what is expected to be Anthony Martial’s replacement.

It’s claimed Jose Mourinho has convinced the player to join the club following talks with the player’s agent Mino Raiola over the weekend; and it’s that relationship that was key to the capture of the Mexican, who had also been linked with a series of other sides.

United, who have a history of buying players who have shone in World Cups with Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo both arriving after impressing in 2014, are tipped to announce a deal in the coming days.

It’s claimed Mourinho moved for Lozano after deciding he represented better money than the £60m Chelsea are seeking for Willian, who now looks destined to join Barcelona.

Lozano has scored 19 goals in 34 appearances for reigning Eredivisie champions PSV.
