Euro Paper Talk: Real Madrid eye Liverpool, Man Utd targets in €240m wishlist

Real Madrid are eyeing up three players each worth £71m, while they are ready to denounce Inter Milan for tapping up a midfielder, according to Friday’s European press.

REAL MADRID LINE UP €240M TRIO

Real Madrid have identified Timo Werner, Rodrigo and Mauro Icardi as potential replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo, a report claims.

Juventus signed the Portugal forward in a sensational deal totalling 112million euros (£99.2million) from Real earlier in the summer.

The 33-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the Serie A champions having revealed he wanted to open a new chapter in his life.

Now, Spanish outlet AS claim that Los Blancos have been priced out of signing Harry Kane or Kylian Mbappe to replace him.

As a result Leipzig’s Werner, Valencia’s Rodrigo and Inter Milan’s Icardi have emerged as possible alternatives, with each valued at around the €80million (£71m) mark.

Werner has been linked with both Liverpool and Manchester United, while United and Chelsea have been tipped to move for Icardi.

ARSENAL STRIKER TIPPED FOR TURKEY SWITCH

Arsenal may have found a buyer for England frontman Danny Welbeck, according to the AMK newspaper.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly plotting a move for the attacker, who has been told he is not part of Unai Emery’s plans at The Emirates.

The reigning Super Lig champions are looking to sign a new forward and have the funds available following their Champions League windfall.

Welbeck is said to be among the names on their shortlist, according to Turkish-Football, with Galatasaray looking to sell Bafetimbi Gomis to Qatar or Saudi Arabia in order to bring in the Englishman.

Sources close to Welbeck, however, claim that the 27-year-old is not keen on a move to Turkey and is ready to fight for his place at Arsenal.
