Euro Paper Talk: Real Madrid eye Liverpool star as part of €330m triple swoop; Zidane sets sights on Man Utd hotseat

Real Madrid are planning a series of transfer raids before the window shuts in Spain, with one Liverpool star back on their radar, while Zinedine Zidane knows which club he wants to manage next, according to Wednesday’s European papers.

REAL MADRID PLOTTING HUGE TRANSFER SPLURGE

Real Madrid are ready to strengthen their Champions League winning squad with the arrival of three huge signings – and they once again have a star Liverpool man in their sights.

According to multiple sources in Spain, new Real boss Julen Lopetegui is hopeful of bringing in three new arrivals before the window shuts in Spain on August 31, with a massive outlay of €330m being forecast.

According to Don Balon, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez wants to take advantage of a brewing row between Liverpool and Mo Salah by striking a €200m deal for the Egyptian. The forward was referred to the police by his club earlier this week for allegedly using his mobile phone while driving and it’s claimed by the Spanish outlet that Real could broker a deal on the back of what’s described as mounting tensions between player and club.

However, the article appears to perform a U-turn and doubt itself by conceding that Salah remains settled at Anfield and that the Egyptian would be reluctant to sign for the club after his coming together with Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final.

They do state, however, that Salah remains one of Perez’s dream signings and the Real president will do all in his power to convince the Reds talisman to sign.

Two more realistic targets for Real, however, might lie elsewhere, with Don Balon also reporting that the LaLiga giants are ready to launch a €70m bid for Valencia forward Rodrigo Moreno.

The 27-year-old was linked with Tottenham earlier this summer and is coming off the back of a season in which he bagged 19 goals in 44 games for Los Che.

Real’s final target is Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, whom Diario Gol claims is wanted in a €60m deal. However, the Spanish outlet claims the deal has raised eyebrows among Real’s senior stars – most notably Ramos – for the Spain’s star’s links with their fiercest rivals, Barcelona.
