Euro Paper Talk: Real want €30m Barcelona and Man Utd target

Real Madrid are moving in on a centre-back wanted by Barcelona and Man Utd and Mohamed Salah’s agent informs Real Madrid of his huge salary requirements, according to Tuesday’s European papers.

REAL RIVAL BARCA FOR LENGLET

Real Madrid are hoping to gazump Barcelona to the signing of Clement Lenglet, according to a report.

Sport claim Zinedine Zidane is keen on the French centre-back, who is also a target for Manchester United.

Barca are understood to have stepped up their hunt for Lenglet, 22, and are ready to pay his €30million buyout clause, but Madrid have “just emerged on the scene”.

According to El Desmarque: “Madrid are also keeping tabs on Lenglet’s future. The Frenchman is liked by Zidane and a move for the defender can’t be ruled out.”

His agent, Gregory Dakad, told Estadio Deportivo Barca aren not the only club interested in him: “There are clubs chasing Lenglet, but first of all he wants to finish the season well.

“He likes the club and the city of Seville. If he decides to leave, it will be a difficult decision for him. I can’t say what clubs are interested, but there is interest in Spain and there have been questions from other countries, too.

Barcelona want to sign a centre-back regardless of what happens with Samuel Umtiti’s contract renewal.

Man Utd are also chasing a centre-back and have been linked with both Umtiti and former Nancy man Lenglet.

REPORTS CLAIM LIVERPOOL WILL LAUNCH £220M TRIPLE BID

Liverpool are stepping up their plans to bolster their squad this summer by launching moves for three players that would seriously strengthen the foothold in the European game.

That’s according to various reports in the Spanish press, which reckons Jurgen Klopp is making ambitious plans to turn the Reds into genuine title contenders next season.

We’ll start with the ever-reliable Don Balon, who believe Liverpool have a strong chance to tempting Barcelona into selling them back Luis Suarez this summer, with a fee of £50million being mooted.

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to rival Liverpool if Barca give any indication they are willing to sell the Uruguayan – but a return to Anfield looks most likely.

Meanwhile, the same outlet reckon the Reds have been given a free run at signing Roma keeper Alisson Becker in a £70m deal this summer. They claim Zinedine Zidane has decided against a move for the Brazilian and feels he would be too costly. The two-time defending European champions have subsequently been linked with Thibaut Courtois once again; the player likely to cost considerably less given he has just 12 months left on his Chelsea contract.

And finally, El Gol Digital claims Barcelona are ready to sell ‘flop forward’ Ousmane Dembele to Liverpool for around £100million –  with a deal for Antoine Griezmann close.

It seems unlikely Barca would sell both Dembele and Suarez in the same summer, with Ernesto Valverde recently indicating his preference to keep the French winger.

“We are expecting big things from him. He’s still very young and has a long time ahead to show his class. All new players need some time to adapt,” the Barca boss stated after the recent 5-1 rout of Villarreal.

The capture of all three seems far from certain, but will nonetheless allow Liverpool fans to dream of some exciting transfer additions this summer.
