A Tottenham strike target is set for a new deal at Fiorentina, while Real Madrid are considering making a move for a young Man City attacker, according to Friday’s European press.
TOTTENHAM TARGET SET FOR NEW DEAL FIORENTINA DEAL
Fiorentina are reportedly working on extending the contract of major Tottenham target Giovanni Simeone.
Calciomercato reports that the Serie A outfit have already opened discussions with the Argentine striker, whose current deal runs until 2022.
Both Spurs and Atletico Madrid were strongly linked with a summer swoop for the 23-year-old, while Marseille had a €25m bid rebuffed for the player.
Simeone is in line for a bumper pay rise, while it is expected that a large buy-out clause will also be inserted into the contract to deter any future bids.
The former River Plate and Genoa frontman has netted 15 times in 39 Serie A appearnces for Fiorentina.

REAL MADRID PONDERING MOVE FOR MAN CITY YOUNGSTER
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City winger Brahim Diaz.
The 19-year-old moved to The Etihad City from Malaga in 2016 but has made only 12 first-team appearances for Pep Guardiola’s men.
Diaz made five Premier League outings last season and came off the bench in City’s 2-0 Community Shield win over Chelsea at Wembley last month.
The Spaniard’s existing contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire at the end of this season, however, and according to reports, the La Liga giants are closely watching developments with the view to bringing Diaz back to his homeland.
The versatile attacker Diaz has represented Spain at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level but has yet to win a senior cap.
