Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd renew interest in forward

Tottenham are considering a club-record bid for a Juventus forward, while Real Madrid have scrapped a move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, according to Thursday’s European papers.

TOTTENHAM EYE SHOCK MOVE FOR JUVENTUS HITMAN

Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain this summer.

The 30-year-old, who is also a target for Chelsea and AC Milan, joined Juve from Napoli in the summer of 2016 for £75.3 million and has gone on to score 55 goals in 105 appearances for the Old Lady.

The Argentina international is widely considered to be one of the best strikers in world football, but he will be 31 in December and at that age it would an unlikely move from Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

However, Corriere dell Sera claims that Mauricio Pochettino is considering Higuain as he looks to strengthen his attacking options this summer.

The link is a strange one, however, as Higuain is very similar in style to prolific Spurs hitman Harry Kane and it is thought that Pochettino is chasing a more mobile, pacy attacker to compliment the England star.
