Euro Paper Talk: Spurs offer star in bid to land Turkish sensation

Tottenham are ready to allow a flop to head to Turkey in a swap deal for a young midfielder, while Mats Hummel rejected the chance to join Man Utd – all in Saturday’s European press.

 

SPURS STEP UP INTEREST IN TURKISH STARLET

Tottenham are reportedly willing to offer €19 million (£17 million) as well as flop Vincent Janssen to Fenerbahce in order to sign Elif Elmas this summer.

Turkish outlet Fotomac claims that Spurs are willing to offload the Dutch forward, who spent time on loan at Fenerbahce during the 2017-18 campaign, in their bid to bring in Elmas.

The 19-year-old Fenerbahce from boyhood club Rabotnicki in 2017 and has made a big impression with the Istanbul giants.

He is widely regarded as one of the most highly-rated midfielders in the Super Lig and is fully expected to move to a big European club over within the next two or three transfer windows.

It is also believed that the player favours a move to north London, given Mauricio Pochettino’s stance on integrating younger players into his first-team squad.
