Euro Paper Talk: Triple €290m merry-go-round to see Man Utd finally land target

Jose Mourinho could finally get his hands on a long-term transfer target for Manchester United, while Arsenal are to lodge a firm approach for an impressive Ligue 1 star, according to Saturday’s European papers.

Reports in Spain claim Barcelona are ready to spark an almighty transfer merry-go-round.

The LaLiga champions have finally lost patience with Ousmane Dembele and have identified the man they want to replace him, reports Don Balon.

The Spanish outlet claims Barca have targeted Portugal star Goncalo Guedes as a replacement for the French winger, who has struggled for form and fitness since his switch from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017, are are willing to pay Valencia’s €120m asking price.

It’s reported that Barca will finance the deal by allowing Dembele to move on, with the report suggesting the player will be sold to Inter Milan in a €110m deal.

And with Dembele arriving at the San Siro, it’s claimed the Serie A giants will finally allow Ivan Perisic to make his long-awaited move to Manchester United for a fee of around €60m.

Perisic came close to joining United in the summer of 2017, but the move broke down after the two clubs could not settle on a fee.

The Croatian’s arrival at United could yet see a fourth winger in the chain, Anthony Martial, also allowed to move on.

Genoa have reportedly slapped a €50million price tag on wantaway striker Krzysztof Piatek.

According to Radio Kiss Kiss, the Italian outfit have already rejected a €25m bid from Napoli for the forward, who has also been linked with Liverpool, Spurs, Juventus, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

The report goes on to state that Genoa want double that figure for the 23-year-old, who has scored 13 goals in eight appearances this season, while they are maintaining that they will not consider selling him until next summer.

The latest reports are in stark contrast to those earlier on Friday when Corriere Dello Sport claimed that Genoa were willing to sell the player in January but then wanted him loaned back for the remainder of the season.
