Euro Paper Talk: Spurs in talks over winger exit

Zinedine Zidane wants Manchester United to bring three Real Madrid stars to Old Trafford with him, while Tottenham are looking to offload a winger, according to Thursday’s European papers.

ZIDANE TELLS MAN UTD TO SIGN TRIO

Zinedine Zidane has told Manchester United he needs the club to bring three huge stars to the club from Real Madrid in January if he is to turn around their fortunes, according to fanciful reports on Thursday.

With Jose Mourinho’s job said to be hanging by a thread, reports have claimed former Real boss Zidane has emerged as favourite to succeed him in the Old Trafford hotseat.

It’s claimed the United board want Zidane to bring about a change in the club’s philosophy and playing style and believe Zidane is the man to orchestrate it.

However, Don Balon claims the Frenchman he needs United to invest heavily in the squad and can only make them a success if they sanction a triple €180m swoop.

According to the Spanish publication, Zidane has told United’s board to bring Raphael Varane, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema to the club in order to turn around their fortunes.

The report adds that United’s only chance of bringing in both Varane and Kroos – both of whom are long-term targets of the club – is to appoint Zidane as manager.
