Euro Paper Talk: Tottenham line up delicious triple signing with deal nearing for Barcelona dynamo; Juventus plan shock Man Utd raid to replace Arsenal bound star

Barcelona's Raphinha, right, celebrates with Barcelona's Franck Kessie after scoring his side's third goal during a Spanish La Liga soccer match between Barcelona and Sevilla at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona

Tottenham are pushing to make three impressive signings with a Barcelona star up first, Juventus want a Man Utd man to replace a star wanted by Arsenal, while Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Chelsea will bid £115m to snare Ten Hag’s top target.

Tottenham are stepping up their hunt for Franck Kessie amid a growing feeling that Barcelona are ready to cash in.

The Ivorian star moved to the Nou Camp as a free agent from AC Milan last summer. The club’s initial plan was to usher Kessie into the side as a replacement for Frenkie de Jong, who they wanted to offload to Manchester United.

De Jong dug his heels in, though, with his stay initially limiting Kessie’s game-time at Barca.

However, Kessie has since worked hard to win Xavi around and has figured more frequently in recent weeks.

That said, there is a growing feeling in the Spanish media that the Blaugrana are now preparing to cash in. The club is still saddled with debt and Kessie looks one such asset they can offload.

Now, under the headline ‘Kessie’s departure to Tottenham’, Sport suggests a deal is starting to gather pace.

Claiming the deal makes economical sense, he is the prime target for Spurs. The north London side are chasing a replacement for Rodrigo Bentancur, who faces a lengthy spell out with a serious knee injury.

And Tottenham reportedly lead both Aston Villa and Inter Milan in the hunt for his £26.6m (€30m) signature.

Spurs want David Raya and Nico Elvedi to join Kessie

Indeed, the signing of the Ivorian is likely to be the first of a busy summer for Tottenham.

They are also stepping up their chase for Hugo Lloris’ successor in goal. Now Marca states that a move for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya is also gathering pace.

The Spaniard currently leads the charts for most saves this season in Europe’s top five leagues.

Rated at around the £40m mark, his deal with the Bees is due to expire in summer 2024.

The London side want to tie him to a new deal. However, his refusal to commit means a summer move across London to Tottenham now looks likely.

In addition, Spurs are also expressing a strong interest in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Nico Elvedi.

The 26-year-old has put in some impressive displays in the Bundesliga this season and looks ready to move this summer. Indeed, the Swiss star’s deal expires in summer 2024 and Gladbach look set to cash in.

They state that both Roma and Spurs are keen on Elvedi, who has three goals in 26 appearances this season.

Per journalist Alfredo Pedulla, any deal for Elvedi will set his suitors back between £13.3m to £17.8m (€15m to €20m).
