Arsenal are desperate to bring in a La Liga attacker who stunned Real Madrid with a brace recently, a player wanted by Liverpool and Chelsea has named his ‘dream’ next destination, while Friday’s Euro Paper Talk reveals Manchester City have been given a boost in their hunt for Jude Bellingham.

Arsenal have reignited their interest in Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze and are ‘crazy’ about taking him to the Emirates this summer, according to a report.

Chukwueze is a Nigeria international who mainly plays on the right flank but can also operate on the left if needed. He is making a big impression in Spain, having registered 13 goals and 11 assists across all competitions this season.

Arsenal were backed to sign Chukwueze in the January transfer window, but they ended up prioritising different players instead. However, Gunners chiefs Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar have landed back on the La Liga ace as a target.

According to Sport Witness, who cite Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal are preparing to go back in for Chukwueze. They are ‘crazy’ about signing him, it is claimed.

There are a couple of reasons why Arsenal have decided to make him a priority summer target. The first is his brilliant recent form. The 24-year-old has notched five goals and three assists in his last eight league appearances.

That includes a brace as Villarreal stunned Real Madrid with a 3-2 victory at the Bernabeu on April 8.

After Real went 1-0 up thanks to a Pau Torres own goal, Chukwueze showed brilliant feet to get away from Nacho before slotting into the bottom corner to equalise.

Vinicius Junior then restored Real’s lead, only for Jose Luis Morales to pull Villarreal level once again. Then it was Chukwueze’s time to step up and win the watch for the Yellow Submarine.

He cut inside and sent a brilliant curling effort into the top corner from outside the box to make it 3-2.

This performance – which Mundo Deportivo describe as ‘dazzling’ – showed that the wide man has what it takes to make a big impact at the top level. And this is exactly the kind of player Arsenal need if they are to challenge for the Premier League title again next season while also competing in the Champions League.

Arsenal will have also been alerted to Chukwueze’s availability due to his contract situation. His current deal at El Madrigal expires in June 2024.

The report reveals that he has rejected an offer from Villarreal to extend his terms. As a result, Arsenal could get him for a reduced price. The Spanish outfit have not yet set a price tag, though transfermarkt value the player at €20million (£17.7m).

Unfortunately for Arteta and Edu, they are not alone in admiring Chukwueze. The report claims Everton and West Ham are also interested in bringing him to the Premier League this summer.

This will be a blow for Arsenal, but the Gunners should still be considered favourites to complete a deal. After all, Chukwueze would rather join title-chasing Arsenal than Everton or  West Ham, both of whom are still at risk of being relegated.
