Euro Paper Talk: Arsenal ready to sign lightning-quick Danish forward as Edu weighs up second deal for Juventus star; Klopp wants to bring assist king to Liverpool

Arsenal are keen to sign a Frankfurt attacker and also know what a deal for a Juventus midfielder will now cost, Liverpool want to sign an assist machine, while Friday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Leeds are battling West Ham for a Dutch star.

GUNNERS LOOK TO JESPER LINDSTROM SIGNING

Arsenal are keen on a deal to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Jesper Lindstrom this summer, per reports in Germany.

The Gunners are firmly in the mix to win the Premier League title this season, despite losing their perch in top spot. Nonetheless, they can soon secure a place in the top four and with it a return to the Champions League. That was always the first target for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.

With that objective close to being achieved, the Gunners are beginning to turn their focus towards summer recruitment.

And despite the signing of Leandro Trossard from Brighton, Arteta is seemingly keen to add another forward to his ranks.

As such, Sport1 in Germany claims Arsenal are exploring a potential deal for Lindstrom.

The Dane has been in excellent form for Frankfurt and described as ‘lightning fast’ by the German outlet. Capable of playing off either wing or in a central attacking role, Frankfurt are reportedly seeking  £27m – £31m (€30m -€35m) for the star.

Contracted to summer 2026, Lindstrom has caught the eye since leaving Brondby for the Bundesliga.

Indeed, he has 14 goals and seven assists in 66 appearances – a goal contribution every 3.1 appearances.

Per reports, Arteta is keen to bring the player to north London this summer if a deal can be agreed.

Arsenal learn costs needed to sign Adrien Rabiot

The Gunners, meanwhile, have also learned the costs needed to sign Adrien Rabiot this summer.

The midfielder is a long-term target of Arsenal and becomes a free agent this summer. The Bianconeri are keen to extend his deal, but talks remain at stalemate with an agreement still to be reached.

As such, that has led to speculation that a summer move to Emirates Stadium could be the cards.

Arsenal are also in the market for Declan Rice this summer, so any move for Rabiot will likely hinge on the West Ham star first. However, sporting director Edu is reportedly keen to land Rabiot and sees him as an excellent alternative on a free.

With Juventus hoping to find a resolution to his situation soon, Calciomercato reports that Rabiot’s mother and agent has been sent a warning.

Indeed, they are reportedly telling her that Rabiot can sign a new deal at Juventus worth €7m a season (£120k a week). But if he wants the €10m a year he is seeking (£170k a week), then he will have to move to the Premier League.

The choice will ultimately be left with the player, though failure to agree that deal will enhance his chances of moving to England.

Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle are also reportedly keen.
