Bayern Munich lead the way for a Chelsea star who wants to leave, while a Manchester United goalkeeper is offered an escape route – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.
INTEREST RENEWED IN CHELSEA STAR
Bayern Munich have rekindled their interest in signing Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to a report.
The German champions were keen on signing the England international last January. Indeed, Chelsea immediately rejected a £40million bid from the club after the player handed in a transfer request.
Bayern then made another move for the 19-year-old last summer but could not convince Chelsea to sell up. In fact, Hudson-Odoi then signed a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge worth over £100,000 per week.
However, Sky Germany now claim Chelsea’s recent spending has again changed Hudson-Odoi’s mind.
The Blues have brought in Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to add to their attack and Hudson-Odoi has reportedly asked his club to allow him to leave on loan.
Bayern lead the race and would offer him a loan deal leading to a permanent purchase option. Juventus have also expressed interest, as have RB Leipzig.
For now, though, Leipzig are out of the picture and cannot afford an initial loan deal.
What’s more, despite Bayern’s advantages, the Bavarians are yet to make official contact with Chelsea.
