SUAREZ, VLAHOVIC ON LIVERPOOL RADAR

Liverpool are looking into the possibility of signing Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina this summer, according to a report.

The champions have fallen off their perch in quite sensational style this season. While they can still claim a top-four finish, it will take a big swing for them to win a trophy. Indeed, their hopes of Champions League glory rest on the prospect of another Anfield miracle. Real Madrid will this week bring a 3-1 lead to Merseyside for their quarter-final second leg.

Part of their downturn has been the loss of form of two of their attackers in Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. Indeed, Jurgen Klopp even expressed his concerns about Mane and why he needs a break.

As such, reports claim sporting director Michael Edwards is making plans to pep up their attack this summer. As per Todofijaches, Edwards and Klopp are considering a swoop for Fiorentina marksman Vlahovic.

The 6ft 3in Serb has been in brilliant form this season, scoring 15 goals in 32 appearances. He’s being linked with Arsenal and Manchester United – but now Liverpool are also emerging as genuine suitors.

Vlahovic is rated at €40m by Fiorentina, who may reluctantly sell in order to balance the books.

Real injuries mount ahead of Liverpool clash

Real injuries mount ahead of Liverpool clash

Semra Hunter from La Liga TV says Real Madrid's injury concerns have not eased ahead of the second leg of their Champions League tie against Liverpool.

The same source claims Luis Suarez is also looking increasingly likely to return to Liverpool this summer.

Suarez was hugely popular at Liverpool before moving on to Barcelona in 2014. Now at Atletico Madrid, Suarez has 19 goals in 32 appearances this season.

However, it’s claimed the 34-year-old could depart after just one year due to a ‘difficult relationship’ with Diego Simeone. It’s reported Atleti would look for just €10m for Suarez. The Uruguayan scored 82 goals in 133 appearances for Liverpool during his time at Anfield.
