Antonio Conte chats to Fabio Paratici of Tottenham

Gleison Bremer appears to have given Tottenham the green light to snap up his signature ahead of Liverpool this summer, while Newcastle have edged to the front of the queue to sign Paulo Dybala – both in all the latest Euro Paper Talk.

TORINO STAR GIVES TOTTENHAM TRANSFER NOD

Torino star Gleison Bremer has seemingly given the nod to both Tottenham and Inter Milan over a summer swoop after admitting he wants to join a club that plays a back three this summer.

The Brazil international is one of the hottest properties in Serie A and is expected to be sold this summer, despite having a contract that runs out in 2024.

Both Spurs and Inter have been showing significant interest in the player, who is expected to cost around €25m.

And Bremer looks to have indicated that a move to England or a switch to Milan could be on the cards after stating his tactical preference.

When DAZN asked whether he ikes playing in a three of four-man defence, he responded: “I prefer a three-man defence, because it’s in line with the system with which I’ve consecrated myself.

“I’ve learned how to use my head on the pitch. It’s not a natural quality, you must learn it.”

Back three suits Bremer better

Both Inter and Tottenham play with a three-man backline, while other clubs linked with his signature, namely Liverpool, Juventus and Milan all play a back four.

Antonio Conte is set on his first summer signing for Tottenham Hotspur as they look to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent deal following loan

“You need to understand when it’s the right time to press and when you need track back,” Bremer continued.

“You don’t only play with strength or interceptions. It’s more complex. You also need to know your opponents well. If the striker is slow, you must remain close to him and try to get on the ball before him.”

It’s now up to Tottenham to act on those comments, if Conte and Fabio Paratici remain interested in bringing the player to north London.
