Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to sign a LaLiga defender, while Arsenal still have hopes of a deal for a Sporting Lisbon youngster – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.
KLOPP EYES ESPANYOL DEFENDER
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing Espanyol defender Leandro Cabrera, according to a report.
Sport reports that, following their relegation, Espanyol could lose several players before next season.
The first name mentioned is midfielder Marc Roca, who reports claim is a target for Arsenal.
However, Cabrera could join him, with the Spanish publication claiming Klopp is an admirer of the defender.
The German boss is reportedly made it clear to the club that he is keen on Cabrera’s “command” and courage, which he believes could be useful assets for his side.
Cabrera, 29, joined Espanyol from Getafe in January and has featured in all but one of his side’s LaLiga games since making the switch across Spain.
