Liverpool are winning a fierce battle for an exciting 18-year-old winger, while Man Utd are keen on an AC Milan star – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.
REDS IN BATTLE TO WIN ATTACKER RACE
Liverpool hold a “huge advantage” over several other clubs in the race to sign Vasco de Gama star Talles Magno, according to a report.
Earlier speculation had claimed Liverpool are keen on signing the 18-year-old Brazilian. The teenager has caught admiring glances from a number of teams amid his exciting recent form.
Magno has scored three goals in six Brazil Under-17 games and, according to Esporte News Mundo, he is “the most coveted South American player in this transfer window”.
This latest report adds that while the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica are keen, Liverpool’s advantage comes from the fact that Magno wants to play under Jurgen Klopp.
Indeed, like fellow Brazilians Gabriel Jesus and Vinicius Junior, the player’s top priority is a move to Europe.
Esporte News Mundo claims Magno is the “main target” of a detailed plan from England. Agent Giuliano Bertolucci is reportedly negotiating with English teams, with Liverpool the favourite to advance negotiations.
What’s more, the source says the plan in England is progressing well and that the chance of a sale to a Premier League team looks likely.
There is also a discrepancy at Vasco de Gama over Magno’s fee. The club want to sell him for €30million but the president’s advisors are persuading him to lower that fee to €20million.
Either way, Vasco are more than willing to finalise a sale for one of their most promising talents.
