Euro Paper Talk: Liverpool devise convincing Mbappe transfer package

Kylian Mbappe PSG

Liverpool are working in the background about a mega deal for Kylian Mbappe, while Paul Pogba is ready to call time on his Manchester United career – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.

PSG MBAPPE CONCERNS GROW

Liverpool are reportedly working on a convincing argument to tempt Kylian Mbappe to Anfield, according to a report.

Speculation over several months has linked the Paris Saint-Germain star with a move to Merseyside. Indeed, Liverpool’s kit sponsorship with Nike could reportedly act as leverage.

Real Madrid are also keen on the Frenchman but, in any case, PSG’s concerns about the player’s future are reportedly growing.

L’Equipe (via Sport Witness) says that there is a ‘strong trend’ within the Parc des Princes that Mbappe could leave next summer.

More specifically, a recent meeting between PSG and the player’s entourage has raised several issues.

Mbappe’s representatives want assurances that if Mbappe does stay, he will have the chance to play with new, exciting players in ‘key roles’.

What’s more, his entourage want answers as to how PSG plan to complete a Champions League triumph.

PSG, however, cannot ‘offer such guarantees’, with the pandemic likely to cost the club over €100million (£90million) for the 2020/21 season.

As such, Liverpool and Madrid are monitoring the developments in the background ahead of a potential raid.

Mbappe’s contract runs out in two years’ time, meaning next summer could be an ideal time for him to switch clubs.

PSG chief Youri Djorkaeff has said that the 21-year-old wants to win the Champions League and move to a “big club”.
