Liverpool are looking at Arsenal pair Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka as they plot their long-term transfer strategy, while they had scouts in Romania over the weekend, all in Euro Paper Talk.

Liverpool are monitoring two Arsenal starlets – Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, according to a report.

Football Insider claims the Premier League leaders are assessing the “long-term potential transfer options and the Arsenal duo are both on their radar”.

The 18-year-old duo have both had a significant impact on the first team this season and Klopp and Co. are apparently keen.

“A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that the club are on the trail of the teenage duo following their almost instant impact in the Arsenal first team,” reads the report.

Martinelli, who was a £6million summer recruit from Ituano Futebol Clube, has been a revelation for the Gunners scoring 10 goals from 23 appearances, including a goal against Liverpool in the 5-5 Carabao Cup game earlier this season.

Saka meanwhile, has made 11 Premier League starts this season on the left for the Gunners, and he was mightily impressive in Sunday’s 4-0 thrashing of Newcastle.

The north London club are desperate to tie him to a new deal with just 18 months remaining on his current deal.

Liverpool have also been linked with a shock double move for Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte, according to Don Balon.
