Euro Paper Talk: Man City to complete €40m winger deal in matter of days

Pep Guardiola Man City Bournemouth TEAMtalk

Manchester City are just days away from signing a new €40m winger, while Barcelona have put 12 first-team stars up for sale – all in Friday’s Euro Paper Talk.

MAN CITY CLOSE IN ON TORRES DEAL

Manchester City are reportedly set to complete the transfer of Valencia winger Ferran Torres in a matter of days.

Eurosport, as cited by Sports Illustrated, suggests that City will offer €40million for the attacker in the hope of sealing a deal.

Torres is at the top of Pep Guardiola’s wishlist this summer, after City recently sold Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich.

City are said to have initially offered around €20m for the Spain U-21 international, but have now virtually doubled their bid.

Indeed, the report adds that the Premier League outfit will offer €30m plus €10m in add-ons for the 20-year-old.

The transfer is expected to be completed in the coming days, with the two parties much closer to an agreement than they were before.

Torres, who can play on either flank, has scored nine goals in 97 appearances for Valencia. He is renowned for his pace and ability to beat players, making him a perfect replacement for Sane.
