Man Utd and Man City are both on alert, with Inter Milan ready to sell a top target, while Federico Chiesa looks set to leave Fiorentina  – all in Friday’s Euro Paper Talk.

MAN UTD, CITY ON ALERT AS INTER PONDER SKRINIAR SALE

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to sell centre-back Milan Skriniar, who is struggling to fit into Antonio Conte’s three-man defence.

The Slovakia international has been strongly linked with Manchester United and Manchester City over the past 12 months.

The 25-year-old was brought from Sampdoria for €34m in the summer of 2017. But his value has climbed significantly with his performances at the San Siro.

Skriniar is under contract until June 2023 and the Nerazzurri had previously rejected approaches from Premier League clubs.

However, it has become evident this season that Skriniar does not work well within Conte’s three-man defence.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it has prompted Inter to reconsider their position on Skriniar. The report adding that he could now be sold for the right price.

That money would then be spent on a defender more suited to Conte’s particular tactical approach.

A fee of £52m had been mooted for Skriniar before, although that may drop if it becomes clear that Inter want to sell.

Both United and City remain the hunt for a new centre-back, with both sides looking vulnerable at times this season.
