Euro Paper Talk: Barca, Real stars next as Man Utd launch €88m double bid

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Manchester United TEAMtalk

Manchester United are readying an under-the-radar double €88m swoop on LaLiga, Leeds target Rodrigo de Paul prefers a move elsewhere and Thiago Alcantara has made his transfer choice, according to Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk.

REGUILON, DEMBELE SET FOR MAN UTD MOVES

Manchester United are expected to further beef up their squad with an exciting double deal from Spain.

Fresh after landing Donny van de Beek, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now reportedly looking to stars from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

As per Don Balon, United have been given the green light to sign Ousmane Dembele for a reduced €70m. The World Cup winner has struggled to find his best form at Barcelona since joining from Dortmund in 2017.

Dembele was bought for an initial €105m but can leave if his asking price is met. Now the Spanish source claims Solskjaer and Co have submitted an offer to bring the player to Old Trafford.

Dembele has had his issues with injuries, but when at his best, the deal could prove a bargain. Hopes of landing Jadon Sancho appear to be fading fast and it’s reported that, privately, United have drawn up plans for alternatives.

Douglas Costa is another name on United’s radar. However, the €60m Juventus are asking has put United off, given his age.

Instead, a deal for Dembele looks far more appealing and it’s believed United are keen.

Sergio Reguilon Sevilla

In addition, AS reports a ‘very interesting offer has arrived from Man Utd in recent days’ for Sergio Reguilon. The Real Madrid left-back shined during Sevilla’s run to Europa League glory while on loan at the Andalusian club.

However, Real do still plan to offload Reguilon this summer and are seeking €25m for the 23-year-old. However, the Spanish paper claims United’s offer is around €18m. The LaLiga champions are considering the proposal and are of the mind to accept.

United were on Wednesday linked with Jordi Alba amid claims Solskjaer wants an upgrade on Luke Shaw.
