Manchester United submit a sizeable offer for a winger target, while Arsenal’s top summer priority is revealed – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.

Manchester United have submitted a bid of between €50million and €60million for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, according to a report.

United are keen to sign a top attacker in the coming months, with reports claiming Jadon Sancho is their main target.

However, similar claims suggest the club are looking at several alternatives – including Italy international Chiesa.

Indeed, reports earlier this year claimed United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sent his top scout to watch the 22-year-old in action.

More recently, Fiorentina’s owner admitted that the winger could leave if a suitable bid comes in for the player.

Quotidiano Sportivo (via Sport Witness) now claims that United are in pole position to sign Chiesa ahead of their rivals.

The source says United are the only club to have offered money up front and their offer is “very close” to Fiorentina’s valuation.

What’s more, Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso could “seriously waver” in his efforts to keep Chiesa if a solid offer comes in.
