CONTE ON MAN UTD RADAR

Manchester United are ‘thinking seriously’ about Antonio Conte becoming their new manager amid doubt over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future, according to a report.

United’s current boss is under mounting pressure following Sunday’s 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. The Red Devils suffered one of the worst defeats in their history against one of their biggest rivals.

The aftermath of the result has seen pundits slam Solskjaer’s tactics. Indeed, the lack of organisation around the press – which Liverpool cut through easily – has been criticised.

Defensive mistakes have also been called out and the verdict is falling on Solskjaer. As such, calls for him to get the sack have increased.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is feeling the pressure in the Old Trafford hot-seat, especially with Antonio Conte lurking.

What’s more, reports have revealed his demands for his next job, where his key aim will be to win the first Champions League of his managerial career.

Solskjaer insisted after the 5-0 defeat that he had heard nothing else from the owners, the Glazer family, other than that he still has their full support.
