Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd favourites to land 124-goal winger after ‘weeks of talks’

Manchester United are in pole position to land a goal-hungry winger, while Leeds eye a move for a rising Bayern Munich talent – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.
Man Utd hot on trail of Serie A winger
Manchester United are the favourites to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to a report.
The 31-year-old recently returned from a successful loan spell at Bayern Munich, where he scored eight goals and assisted 10 others.
However, his future remains unclear; Bayern did not want to activate the purchase option in their loan agreement and he does not feature in Inter boss Antonio Conte’s plans.
As such, there remains an opportunity for a top club to land the prolific forward, who has netted 124 goals in his club career.
According to Fussball Transfers, United remains Perisic’s most likely destination. The Red Devils are in talks with Inter, and negotiations have already lasted a “few weeks”.
However, Paris Saint-Germain have also registered interest, the source claims. The French champions’ sporting director, Leonardo, has allegedly contacted Inter about a potential loan deal.
Previous reports claimed Perisic had received further interest from Germany, a favoured hunting ground for the Croatian. The winger has scored 31 goals there, with goals for Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund as well as Bayern.
However, Fussball Transfers says there is “nothing in” reports suggesting RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Hertha Berlin want to sign him.
Perisic, who also has 90 Croatia caps, sees his future away from Germany.
Inter Milan are not making the deal easy, though, wanting to sell Perisic rather than agreeing another loan exit.
