Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd cleared to sign 109-goal striker in bargain deal

Manchester United learn of a cut-price fee for a strike target, while Arsenal ready a £23million bid for a midfielder – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.

MAN UTD LEARN CUT-PRICE STRIKER’S FEE

Manchester United striker target Raul Jimenez will be available for €20million (£18million) when the transfer window re-opens, according to a report.

The Wolves marksman has become arguably his side’s best player since his arrival, scoring 39 goals in 88 appearances.

Indeed, reports say his performances have not gone unnoticed with United and Juventus, among others, keen on his signature.

Previous reports said Wolves are keen to make a profit if they did sell Jimenez, but TuttoJuve claim that is not the case.

The source says Wolves have put an £18million price tag on the striker’s head, likely lower due to the impact of football’s postponement in recent months.

TuttoJuve also says that Wolves could propose a swap deal with Juve involving Gonzalo Higuin, who wants to leave Turin.

While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has pushed a new striker down his list of priorities after Odion Ighalo’s extension, he is reportedly still eyeing up targets.

Jimenez has scored 109 goals in his career so far, with 39 strikes coming in spells for CF America and Atletico Madrid.
